The agreement when you order

Last updated 18 August 2026

The agreement between us when you order. Written to be read.

Who you are dealing with

Mill & Mantel Bakery, LLC, a family baking house in Charleston, South Carolina, run by Matt and Kelly Moreau.

Placing an order

An order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when we send the confirmation email, and that is the point the agreement is made.

If we cannot bake something after all, we will tell you and refund it. We would rather say so than send you something we are not proud of.

Prices and tax

Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is added at checkout and shown as its own line before you pay.

If a price is wrong on the site, we will tell you before we take payment, and you can decide.

Pickup

Pickup is at the James Island kitchen, 1740 Signal Point Road, Unit 250. We hold an order for three days past its date, and if you need longer, call and we will keep it.

Shipping

We ship nationwide except to Alaska, Hawaii and the US territories, because the journey is too long for what we bake.

Everything is perishable. Boxes go out early in the week so nothing sits in a depot over a weekend.

Changes, cancellations and refunds

These have a page of their own, and it is part of these terms.

Your account

If you keep an account with us, keep the password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has it and we will close the door.

Our words and pictures

The writing, the photographs and the design here are ours. Please do not take them for your own business.

What we are responsible for

We are responsible for baking what you ordered, to the standard we describe, and for putting it right when we do not.

What we owe if something goes wrong is limited to what you paid for that order.

Which law applies

South Carolina law, and the courts of Charleston County.

If these terms change

The date at the top changes with them. An order is governed by the terms that were in force on the day it was placed.
